J. J. Scanlon Heads New York Fire Patrol
Joseph J. Scanlon, of 190 Winthrop Street, Brooklyn, was appointed March 19 to the position of Chief of the New York Fire Patrol to suceeed William A. Espy, of 47-06 46th Street, Woodside, Queens. The appointment was made and announced at the meeting of the New York Board of Fire Underwriters held at 85 John Street, New York City. The appointment became effective April 1, 1952.
