It is stated that in all probability Clarence B. Hoover, engineer in charge of water works extension of Columbus, Ohio, will succeed the late Jerry O’Shaughnessy as superintendent of the city division of water and sewage.
Chief George A. Wallace, of the Cleveland, Ohio, fire department, has been ordered off duty temporarily by his physician, owing to a severe cold. First Assistant Chief James E. Granger is in charge of the department during Chief Wallace’s indisposition.
