The position of superintendent of the Macon, Ga., Gas and Lignt company has been filled by the appointment of Oliver Diall, of Terre Haute, Ind., where he had been for some years in the employ of the gas and waterworks of that city.
We regret to say that as we go to press no better accounts of Chief Mc Gill, of the fire department of Trenton, N. J., have reached us.
