Peabody Threatened by Hot General Alarm Blaze

Only fast, determined and hazardous work by Peabody, Mass., fire fighters, aided by crews from Danvers and Salem, held a roaring fire in the 100-year-old Page Pottery Shop on Central St., Peabody, from assuming conflagration proportions on the morning February 27, last.

The fire was, first noticed in the 150 foot long, unoccupied, two story frame structure shortly after 8:00 A.M. The fire department received a telephone alarm and a box alarm from box $10 simultaneously.
