A countywide paramedic program in Thurston County, Wash., completed its first year of operation this month.
Serving a population of about 84,000 in the south Puget Sound region, Medic One has brought the capital city an entirely new concept of emergency medical care. It is administered through county fire departments and the area’s one hospital.
