CHOICE for a meeting place for the Oklahoma Territorial Firemen’s Association meeting couldn’t have been better. Guthrie is not only a pleasant city, but a marvel of enterprise and development. It is only a few years ago that the prairies for miles in either direction were merely the grazing place of unnumbered cattle, and only slightly further back the writer visited a famous Indian chief in his wigwam not far from where the city’s hum indicates the rush of business.
