OBITUARY.
The death on December 3 of Louis Riehl, late superintendent of the fire-alarm system of the Cincinnati fire department, is announced. The funeral services took place at bis residence; the interment was in Spring Grove cemetery. The funeral was attended by the members of the board of public safety, whose meeting was adjourned out of respect to the deceased. Chief Archibald, and former Chief W. H. Hughes and other city officials. Among the many floral tributes was one, from the fire-alarm corps, a duplicate of a repeater, with the dial set at the figure i, signifying the recall or out-tap of a fire. The Gamewell Fire-Alarm company, of New York city, sent a floral fire-alarm box on a pole, the number of which was 52, the age of the deceased. Dangling from the top of the post was a broken wire.
