New York Firemen’s Pay Bill Vetoed
Mayor Hylan of New York City on April 21 returned the Farrell Bill which would have legalized as their minimum pay the present salaries fixed by the board of estimate for members of the uniformed force of the New York fire department, “Indorsed, not accepted.” This practically kills the bill as it will not be passed over the mayor’s veto.
