Montana Slate Firemen Meet

一个活泼的罗und table discussion on fire-fighting subjects was a feature of the annual convention of the Montana State Firemen’s Association which took place at Great Falls, Mont., on August 18 to 20. The convention was largely attended and was pronounced a great success from every point of view. Much of the success of the entertainment of the convention was due to the efforts of the Great Falls fire department, under the leadership of Chief A. J. Trodick. A trip to the Anaconda Copper Mining Company’s wire mill was a feature of the entertainment on August 21, dinner being served to the visitors at the mill. A banquet was held in the palm room of the Hotel Rainbow in the evening of August 21. A dance on August 21 closed the convention.

In the election of officers the result was as follows; President, Chief Charles Collins of Anaconda, re-elected; vicepresident, Chief V. H. Steele, of Billings; secretary, D. E. Moser, of Bozeman, re-elected; treasurer, John E. deCarlc, Miles City, re-elected. Broad of directors, Chief Art J. Baker of Lewistown; Chief George W. Dewar, of Havre and Chief V. H. Steele, of Billings. The legislative committee is composed of John McKenna, Great Falls; Simon Behan, Butte and Martin Juhl, Helena.
