Bonds to such amount as the municipal rulers, who are also of age and respectability, may see fit to demand, must be filed, both to secure the amount of gas necessary to be delivered and to guarantee the age and respectability of the process adopted. The gas is to be delivered into the aged and respectable holders of the said aged and respectable city. The photometric power of the gas is to be tested in an aged and respectable manner, at any time said rulers may determine, and if not up to the aged and respectable standard set, a respectable fine, which is not to be allowed to become aged, will be imposed for the term of a month prior to the discovery of such deficiency. The process must be erected to manufacture the maximum amount required during the most aged and respectable day of winter consumption ; but if the aged and respectable rulers aforesaid find that the aged and respectable force employed at their own aged and respectable works can keep the aged and respectable holders full enough without the aid of the process employed, the said process may be “laid off” at the will of the aforesaid aged and respectable rulers. The aforesaid contract will be entered into for one year only, and at the expiration of that period the chances are that the process will be allowed no more opportunity to become aged and respectable in the aforesaid aged and respectable vicinity.
