The Vajen-Bader patent smoke protectors have been placed in the following fire departments during the past week: Lawrence, Mass., Columbus, O., Allegheny City, Pa.—a third order, Peoria, Ill., and Grand Rapids, Mich. The St. Louis Brewing Association are also being supplied with fourteen helmets to protect the men while working in ammonia flumes.
At a recent election at Burlington, N. J., the citizens voted to buy a Gleason & Bailey “Baby Grand” aerial truck.
