IN our City Department will be found an interesting synopsis of Professor Striedinger’s lecture on dust explosions before the corps of Sappers and Miners. The Professor makes very clear the possibility of such explosions, both by theoretical elucidation and practical demonstration.
WE are promised the official report of the judges of the Steam Fire Engine test at the National Tournament in time for our next issue. The delay in giving publicity to it is explained by the fact that the judges separated immediately after the contest, and the report being sent to each for signature, miscarried in the mails, necessitating the preparation of a duplicate report.
