Massachusetts Firemen Elect Officers
Deputy Chief James J. King, Lawrence, was re-elected President of the Massachusetts State Firemen’s Association at the fifty-ninth annual convention, which was held in Boston on September 13, to 15. The other officers chosen were Captain F. T. J. McNamara, Swampscott, First Vice-President; John H. Rinehalter, Quincy, Second Vice-President; Daniel J. Looney, Boston, Secretary; M. Joseph Manning, Milton, Treasurer; W. A. Adams, Worcester, Sergeant-at-Arms; and Edward J. Coveney, Boston, Commissioner of Firemen’s Relief Fund. Captain Michael J. McGonagle, Boston, reported on legislative matters.
The Boston Fire Department put on an exhibition drill at a tower specially erected on Boston Common and there was a concert by the Boston Fire Department band.
