Knox Automobile Co.
Despite decided opposition on the part of the stockholders’ committee, Chas. G. Gardner has been appointed trustee in bankruptcy of the Knox Automobile Company of Springfield, Mass. Appraisal of the plant shows an excess of $400,000 of assets over liabilities. The stockholders propose to make a strenuous campaign for the appointment of three trustees. No movement has been made to stop production, however, either in commercial or passenger car lines. The five, six and seven-ton trucks which it formerly manufactured have been dropped, and all energies will be devoted to Martin tractors.
