The Kansas State Foremen’s Association has become a strong organization. Largely through its influence nearly $50,000 has been distributed among the firemen of the State in the years 1896-7. Kansas was the first to see the financial storms approaching and is the first to show signs of recovery from their effects. The State is now harvesting the greatest crop on record). It will pay manufacturers of fire appartus to send a representative to the meeting of this association, at Topeka. Chief G. O. Wilmouth, of Topeka, has charge of the local arrangements and, with F. G. Remaster, Abilene, the secretary of the State Association, will furnish any information desired.
