June Fire Losses
Estimated fire losses in the United States during June amounted to $67,644,000, it was reported, by the National Board of Fire Underwriters.
According to Lewis A. Vincent, NBFU’s general manager, this $67,644,000 loss represents an increase of 15.5 per cent over losses of $58,585,000 reported for June, 1952, and an increase of 5.3 per cent over losses of $64,239,000 for May (1953).
