Shortly after the Board of Fire Commissioners was abolished and the office of Fire Marshal established, it was rumored that acts of members of the late Board would justify investigation. Recently these reports have been revived with more definiteness and emphasis, and recently a reporter of the Sun obtained from Fire Marshal Heiskell an explicit Statement on the subject.
