IAFC Sets Goal of 2500 Boy Scout Units by 1966
The International Association of Fire Chiefs has set a goal of 2500 Boy Scout units under fire service sponsorship by December 1966. A net increase of 265 units will be required to “break through” to this new level of service to the Nation’s youth.
The "We Join Hands” program of cooperation between IAFC and the Boy Scouts of America, produced a gain of 1000 fire department-sponsored units during the past 10 years. IAFC’s new plan is aimed at accelerating this growth as well as maintaining quality program in all present units.
