Hasselhuhn Heads Volunteers
More than seven hundred persons were present at the nineteenth annual convention of the New Jersey and New York Volunteer Firemen’s Association held at Fort Lee, N. J., July 16. Alexander H. Ormsby, personal representative of the New Jersey Governor, spoke at a meeting.
C. H. Hasselhuhn, former Chief of Carlstadt, was reelected President. All other officers were re-elected to serve their second terms: They are Henry Schnakenberg, VicePresident, Rochelle Park; Charles Mortimer, Secretary, Haworth; Charles Thiel, Assistant Secretary, Ridgefield Park; Edward Christie, Financial Secretary, Ridgewood; H. Joseph Spender, Treasurer, Rochelle Park; W. G. Critchley, Assistant Treasurer, Allendale; T. V. Shuttleworth, Hillsdale, trustee for five years.
