Gasoline Heaters in New Hazard

Two gasoline heaters exploded in the basement of the $2 million Levittown, L. I., School, under construction, damaging a section of wooden framework on the first floor.

One of the heaters, which hold 30 gallons of gasoline each and are used to keep the cement mixture from freezing, apparently became overheated. Its tank exploded at 11:40 A. M. and sparks from the blast touched off the second heater.
