A gasoline explosion was the cause of a fire in Jefferson, Okla., which started in Glohn Hall, on the south side of the town, and spread half a block before it was checked by volunteers. Two streams were thrown, one from an automatic pump and one from a 3inch hydrant. The town’s direct pumping system furnished water at a pressure of 60 lbs. About 300 feet of cotton rubber-lined hose were used. The property loss is estimated at $9,000 on the buildings and $1,000 on the contents of the houses, furniture, etc., valued at about $20,000.
