By an explosion at the gas works at Winnipeg, Man., July 1, Superintendent Stewart was slightly injured.
V. E. McBee has contract for building four and a-half miles of railroad for the West Asheville and Sulpher Springs (N. C.) Railway Company, previously reported. The ThomsonHouston Electric Company has contract, it is stated, for equipment.
