Franklin, Pa., Fire Chief Retires

Chief C. H. Brennan, of Franklin, Pa., retired from his position on June 4, after a record of more than thirty years of service in the fire department.

Chief Brennan, who is 51 years of age, is retiring at his own request, finding that the duties of street commissioner an office which he also holds are sufficiently pressing as to demand all his time. He was a minute man in the fire department from 1892 to 1904, when he became first assistant to Chief Frank D. Grimm, and since 1918 he has been head of the department, serving it efficiently, night and day ever since.
