Fire Inspectors Should Be Specialists
一个ssistant Chief
一个GREAT DEAL of time and money is spent training men to be fire fighters. Yet, in the lifetime of the average fire fighter, he will spend a mere portion of his duty time fighting fires. Such training is necessary of course, but it is overdone when given to chiefs and other experienced officers. Training here should be in employment of new methods and equipment rather than basic evolutions. Most time spent with superior officers should be devoted to professional fire inspection methods.
