The annual meeting of the Fire Equipment Manufacturers' Institute was held at the Washington Hotel, Washington, D. C., on February 17 and 18. The meeting was called to order at ten o’clock a. m. on February 17 by president Walter Bauer, who gave his annual report. Every member of the institute was represented at the meeting, and several excellent addresses were delivered at the four sessions, held morning and afternoon of the two days. In addition to the representatives there were several sales connections present, including the managers of the Pyrene Company’s English and French Offices.
The following officers and board of directors were elected: Walter Bauer, Pyrene Manufacturing Co., Newark, N. J., president; Hugh Logan. American-LaFrance Fire Eng. Co., Fisk Bldg., New York City, vice-president; D. S. Hunter. 428 Bulkley Bldg.. Cleveland, Ohio, secretary-treasurer. Board of Directors—F. M. Watters. Foamite-Childs Corp., Utica. N. Y.; H. W. Diener, Geo. W. Diener Mfg. Co., Chicago, Iii.; E. G. Weed, Pyrene Mfg. Company, Toronto, Ont.; S. O. Cook, Obenchain Boyer Co., Logansport, Ind. and R. C. lddings, Fyr-Fyter Company, Dayton. Ohio.
