Fire and Accident Prevention Day
Chairman H. P. Weaver has been authorized to enlarge the Committee on Fire and Accident Prevention Day of the National Fire Protection Association, and has already secured the co-operation of a number of interested persons, both in the United States and Canada. The intention is to encourage local committees to map out really impressive and instructive programmes along the line of the observance in Chicago last year, where the arrangements were taken in hand early enough. One of the immediate problems in connection with Fire and Accident Prevention Day propaganda is to persuade those responsible that a thoroughly successful celebration cannot be rushed through at the last moment. Information can be had by writing to the secretary of the committee, W. T. Colyer, 87 Milk street, Boston, Mass.
Assistant Chief Isaacs of New Haven is absent on sick leave.
