G. Walter Hurd, a member of the Oldtown, Me., Fire Department for twenty-eight years and Chief for twelve years, died at the age of sixty-one. He was a member of the Maine Fire Chiefs’ Association, New England Association of Fire Chiefs, and was also President of Oldtown Firemen’s Relief Association.
