Cloth Flammability Watchdog
A fabric flammability section has been formed by the National Bureau of Standards to determine the burning characteristics of clothing and home furnishings materials that are now covered by the December 1967 amendments to the Flammable Fabrics Act. The new section, headed by James V. Ryan, is under the materials evaluation division of the Institute for Applied Technology of the NBS.
