Chief Wetmore Recovering His Health

Chief F. N. Wetmore, of Sault Ste. Marie. Ont., has been in New York City since the last of February undergoing treatment for a disease known as pernicious anaemia with which he had been suffering for some time. His many friends will learn with much gratification that he is nowmuch improved in health. Chief Wetmore went to the home of his sister, on Staten Island, New York City, and was treated by the transfusion of blood at the Staten Island Hospital, where he was the patient of Dr. Charles E. Pearson, of Towkinsville, S. I., and speedily felt a marked improvement. He will leave this city on April 12 for his home in Sault Ste Marie to recuperate and expects to resume active duties about May 1. Chief Wetmore’s illness is ascribed to exposures at fires and to the results of accidents he met with in the line of duty. He has been chief of the Saulte Ste Marie department for the past seven years and has made many friends in fire circles who wish him a speedy, complete recovery.
