Chief Keena Retires
Chief Michael T. Keena of the Hartford, Conn., Fire Department, retired from active duty on December 22, as the result of a compulsory retirement ordinance limiting the age of a fire chief to sixty-five.
The Chief entered the department on May 1, 1900. He was appointed pipeman in January, 1907; appointed to captain in 1908; made deputy chief in 1913 and chief in 1937.
