M. Brackett retired, he was chosen as Mr. Brackett’s legitimate successor. S.nce that time he has given recurring evidence of his fitness for the position he now fills, and has won the confidence of the public and the respect of the men under him. He is still a young man, with many years of usefulness before him. His long residence in Minneapolis and his identification with the fire department now for nearly twenty years has made him thoroughly acquainted with the city and all its means of protection from fire. He is a good fireman and a competent executive officer.
