Chief Corning, Seattle, Removed
Chief Claude W. Corning, Seattle, Wash., has been removed by Mayor Langlie and Battalion Chief William Fitzgerald named as head of the department.
Chief Corning was elected head in 1932 by a popular vote of the department, at the beginning of the term of the late Mayor Dore. He is now eligible for retirement.
