CA Business Fire Hits Three Alarms

A large pile of material caught fire Sunday afternoon at a cement company in southern Sacramento County. The pile of non-hazardous material approximately 35 feet tall and hundreds of feet wide caught fire at about 4:30 p.m. Fire crews used water and more than 500 gallons of foam to fight the three-alarm blaze, which was under control by about 7 p.m. The fire produced large amounts of smoke, which fire officials said was not toxic. However, neighbors of the roofing company were advised to turn off their air conditioning and stay inside.
