BIDS FOR ANOTHER PUMP AT KANSAS CITY.
Bids were opened by the board of public works on October 20 for furnishing Quindaro pumping station, Kansas City, Mo., with another 25,000,000-gallon centrifugal water pump, and two 300-horsepower boilers. Eight bids were received for the pump and four for the boilers. They were referred to George H. Benzenberg, advising engineer of the waterworks, and the engineer, with instructions to report back to the board the name of the best bidder.
