Ahrens Engine at Woodbury.
Last month the Ahrens Fire Engine Company, of Cincinnati, delivered a third size Continental engine to the city of Woodbury, N. J., which, after the most exacting texts, more than fulfilled its guarantee. In view of this fact the company received the following complimentary acknowledgment: City of Woodbury, Woodbury. N. J., city clerk's office, May 2, 1911. Mr. John P. Ahrens, Dear Sir:
At the meeting of city council held April 25 I was instructed to extend a vote of thanks to you and the company you represent for the promptness in the delivery of the Continental fire engine which the city purchased from you, also for the very efficient and satisfactory manner in which the engine stood the test given it on April 25, having exceeded the specifications set forth in the contract. Yours very truty. Arthur Starr, city clerk.
