Additional Water for Banning
The survey for the development of additional water supply for Banning, Cal., has been completed, and work will probably be started this spring. A bond issue of $80,000 has been voted for the purpose. Representatives of an electric power company are figuring on the advisability of the water company installing its own electric power plant for lifting water from its wells, and if the plant should not be adopted the Southern Sierras Company will probably run a branch line from this city to the water canyon, under a long-term contract with the water company, it is said.
