Actor Gary Sinise Donates Money to Colorado Fire Department

Actor Gary Sinise has made a $60,000 donation to the Black Forest (CO) Fire Department.

The largely volunteer department rescued residents and battle theBlack Forest Fire, the most destructivewildfirein state history, according to a report from the locals CBS affiliate (http://cbsloc.al/1bLVDR1). The donation will help the department replace firefighting equipment lost while battling thewildfirenear Colorado Springs this summer.

The money comes from the Gary Sinise Foundation, which develops programs designed to entertain, educate, inspire, strengthen and build veteran, military and first-responder communities. Sinise is well-known for his work in the movie “Forest Gump” and on the television show “CSI: New York.”
