Accident to Commissioner Isaacs
During the long and exciting career of Colonel Isaacs, fire commissioner of Niagara Falls. N. Y., his experience last week when his automobile collided with a street car while going at a 40-mile clip to a small fire was the worst. He was answering an alarm when, in rounding the corner of a street, his automobile was struck amidships by the car and almost demolished. He and his chauffeur were thrown a long distance by the impact, but fortunately they alighted with only a bad shake-up. The colonel is still in harness, but fully realizes the very close call he had from instant death through another stroke of his proverbial good luck.
