OF late years there are few inventions relating to fire extinguishment, that have been adopted by fire departments, for the reason that they are not suited to the present methods employed in the service. At least two recent appliances, however, have by their merits, come to the front; the more prominent, perhaps, being the apparatus manufactured by the Loeb Respirator Company of Berlin and this city.
