A HERSEY OUTING.
On the 10th inst. a very united and merry company sailed away from Boston harbor npon the good ship Charles L. Mather. It. was composed of the brawn and sinew, the brains and beauty of the Hersey Manufacturing company—the occasion being an outing arranged by that firm for its employes. Our correspondent says:
“The party was taken outside the harbor to the fishing grounds, where all fished to their hearts’ content, or rather to the limit of their stomachs’ content, the bay being quite rough, after which the steamer put inside the harbor, and dinner was served. Immediately thereafter a landing was made at Strawberry Hill, where baseball and other games were indulged in. The party returned to South Boston late in the afternoon and dispersed, after giving three rousing cheers and a tiger for the company. Altogether it was a very enjoyable affair for those who participated.”
