A FiremanÕs Presence of Mind.

A Fireman’s Presence of Mind.

Dr. Sasatles, of the New York Dental College, on Friday, at noon, carefully arranged his sharp-pronged instruments on a little stand that was attached to the dental chair. The patient in the chair was Mrs. Grade, of 200 East Fortieth street. Among the dental implements used is an alcohol lamp.

While the dentist had this in use Mrs. Grade found herself enveloped in flames. So suddenly did it happen that Mrs. Grade remembers only the alcohol lamp, the sheet of flame, the dread of burning, and then something dark that was thrown over her and held by strong hands. Then she fainted. The darkness was caused by a Fireman’s overcoat.
