Roane County (WV) Firefighter Killed in Response Accident

A Roane County volunteer firefighter was killed while responding to a fire,reports Metro News.

The fallen firefighterhas been identifiedas Mark Horwich of the Clover Volunteer Fire Department. Horwich served in the fire service for over 20 years, founding the company Fire Station Software, which sold record-keeping software to departments all over the world.

According to a report, the crash occurred around 2 p.m. Saturday while firefighters were responding to a structure fire. The truck Horwich was driving reportedly went off the road.

TheU.S. Fire Administration report说,星期六,2020年1月11日,交火er Mark Horwich, 51, of the Clover-Roane Volunteer Fire Department was responding to a structure fire in an engine when it was involved in a rollover crash. Firefighter Horwich died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
