Members of Engine 5 from the Rochester (NY) Fire Department helped revive a patient suffering cardiac arrest during a recent incident, which was captured on video and uploaded to YouTube.
Joe Ignizio, a bystander who captured the video, wrote that he and his brother assisted firefighters with getting the patient out of the truck. In the video summary, Ignizio wrote that Engine 5 members “relentlessly worked on their patient trying to revive him. Not seen in the video [they] used an electronic device to shock his heart. After three times, the man’s heart started.”
