Columbia (TN) – One woman died and two others were injured in a massive housefire in downtown Columbia Thursday morning.
The fire started around 3:43 a.m. on the 600 block of W. Fourth Street and has since been put out. When crews arrived to the scene, heavy flames were already pouring from the home.
Nathan Johnson was found in the front yard with burns. Johnson, who is in his 40s, was airlifted to Nashville for his injuries.
Officials say he pointed the crews to his mother’s room. Sandra Johnson, who is said to have been in her 60s, was found dead at the scene.
