One man was killed and another was hurt when a home in Trenton occupied by squatters caught fire Sunday night, officials said.
Heavy fire broke out around 10:30 p.m. in a row home on the 300 block of Genesee Street and spread to a neighboring home before being brought under control around midnight, a Trenton fire official said.
The victim is in his 50s but his identity was not immediately available, the official said Monday. The other man was brought to an area hospital but no information was available on the severity of his injuries.
The home was destroyed and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
