Princeton (WV) – The state fire marshal is investigating a weekend fire that claimed the life of a Mercer County resident.
East River (WV) Volunteer Fire Department Chief Nelson Short said an unidentified county resident was pronounced dead at the scene of a residential fire on Old Pisgah Road on Sunday. Short said the identity of the victim was not being released becuase of the pending investigation of the fire by the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s office.
