GENEVA (AP) — Swiss police say one person has died and 14 are injured after an explosion at an apartment block in the western city of Yverdon-les-Bains.
Vaud cantonal (state) police spokesman Jean-Christophe Sauterel says the blast occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday on the fourth floor of a residential building in the center of the city. He says police are still trying to determine the cause of the explosion.
Sauterel says eight of the injured have been hospitalized.
