Firefighters from four Connecticut towns battled a brush fire Sunday that spread over about 10 acres in Osbornedale State Park.
Derby Fire Chief Tom Lenhart said the initial call came is a two separate fires, but it turned out to be a single fire, according to a report in theConnecticut Post(http://bit.ly/YbuCQn).
Firefighters from Ansonia, Seymour, and Oxford helped fight the fire. Water tankers were used to establish a water supply as the area does not have fire hydrants.
The fire was extinguished after about two hours at 5 p.m. No one was injured and no property was damaged.
