The Fire Academyis rapidly becoming the fire service’s most trusted online training platform for fire departments and individuals. By pairing fire & EMS training on critical topics with powerful tracking & reporting capabilities that meet industry and department-specific needs, The Fire Academy is the learning management system (LMS) that more departments are adopting.
We’re delighted to announce thatThe Fire Academy is now accredited by the New Jersey Office of EMS提供继续教育学分EMSproviders. Once members have their license details on their profile, The Fire Academy will report all BLS course completions to the New Jersey Office of EMS. Paramedics can submit these courses to your clinical coordinator for approval. Currently, The Fire Academy offers 14 courses (15 hours) of eligible training for CEUs.
The Fire Academy is also officially accredited by the Kentucky Fire Commission. Per state requirements, all firefighters can complete up to 25% of their annual required training through an online source. For volunteer firefighters, this represents up to a maximum of 5 hours of online training, while paid firefighters can take up to 25 hours of online training to meet these requisites. Please note that this applies to recertification requirements and does not include initial certification.
As Kentucky is a self-reporting state, departments and individuals can submit certificates or reports for all courses taken – an easy task with our reporting functionalities. Firefighter training hours need to be monitored or supervised by a Kentucky Fire Commissioned certified instructor. All CAPCE accredited courses are also eligible for EMS continuing education hours (provided that all applicable KBEMS regulations are followed). As of now, The Fire Academy has 92 approved courses (or 102 hours) that can be applied to meet annual training requirements.
