A woman was able to throw her baby from the roof to an officer waiting on the ground, and the infant was unharmed. The woman then jumped to escape the fire, sustaining minor injuries.

A neighbor used a ladder to help another victim off the roof. As officers were helping them down, the ladder broke, and one person fell onto the officers on the ground. One officer was injured.
